My Family, My Heart

I obviously wouldn't be here today if it weren't for a LOT of people, their love and their support... Here's just a small little tribute to a few of the most important souls in my life.

My parents are my rock, my best friends, my inspiration and my kick-in-the-butt when I need it. They have been married for 30 years, showing me and teaching me that love doesn't give up when things get tough. I've learned the true meaning of "Love is Patient, Love is Kind..." through their example. They motivate me and give me the strength to pull through when all I want to do is give up. My Mom, who we call "Dr. Mom", just recently graduated from a Doctorate program of Nurse Practitioners with a 4.0 GPA! PROUD doesn't even begin to describe how we all feel, and she deserves it after all her hard work. My Dad is the one I can bounce ideas off of, no matter how hair-brained they are, because I got that personality trait from him. He taught me the importance of family time, trying new things, and the art of organization through our mutual respect of office supplies. He's an Accountant and also in the process of getting his Master's!
I have some pretty cool (and nerdy) parents, just sayin'.

Meet my boo-thang, Joshua Nathaniel Treadway. We've been going steady for 5 years, and living together for about 4 years. Recently, this sweet man PROPOSED, literally running away with my heart, so we are due to get married sometime in the summer/ early fall of 2016. He's currently a student working to obtain his Associates degree in Physical Therapy, defying all the nay-sayers and haters who stack up against him on a daily basis. I know he's going to make a great PTA one day, and I cannot wait to watch him walk that stage!! It's safe to say he's my biggest cheerleader, also, constantly encouraging me to go after my dreams. We enjoy going to the beach, shopping together (yes, ladies, he enjoys shopping! Totally drool worthy...), watching football/basketball together, being secret food critics around town at our local restaurants, and sleeping in on Sundays, tightly snuggled up in each others arms. I never loved someone so much who also drives me completely batty, but I wouldn't trade him for the world.
"God gave me you."

These doll babies call me "Aunt Kitty" and are absolutely the most precious faces I have ever laid eyes on... of course I'm biased, though. They are the light of my world, my passion, my heart. Watching them grow up, and hearing them say things like, "Aunt Kitty is my best friend" are the moments that I live for. From the moment I held them in my arms at the hospital, they all had me individually wrapped around their little fingers.
Marky, Maddie & Miles.

My fur babies, Lucy (right, Chihuahua) & Charlie (left, Chihuahua-Yorkie mix)!!
We rescued Lucy from her previous owner who left her on a chain in the front yard, despite the weather, when she was but a puppy. She has been the cuddliest, calmest, loving Chihuahua I have EVER met. Lucy enjoys sleeping under the blankets, playing peek-a-boo, and watching TV to find all the other doggies so she can bark at them. Charlie is our spit-fire, happy-feet, trouble maker puppy-dog who was one of Lucy's puppies (after we had an accident with my parents Yorkie, Snoopy). We kept him because he was a more involved birth, meaning I had to do a lot of the work to help Lucy have him safely, so I felt attached to him and could NOT give him away! Charlie enjoys running, jumping, and never sitting still. It's a full time job, these two handfuls, but they're mine all mine.

Meet our newest edition!! Sir Duke Treadway *swoon*
... read all about him here! He is an absolute bundle of joy (and rolls), & we couldn't be more in love. We will forever be grateful to his breeders for taking such good care of him for his first 8 weeks, and we cannot WAIT to share with you how he grows!! Stay tuned for what I'm sure will be tons of funny puppy-stories and training tips that we learned through what will probably be many, many mistakes ;) The only thing we know we did absolutely right is finding him, adopting him, and bringing him home to be a part of our family!
